Bob began training with the RCAF
No. 7 Bombing and Gunnery School,
December 1943. Flying Ansons + Bolingbrokes,
(Paulson and Portage La Prarie, Manitoba).
He qualified as Air Bomber, (Feb '44),
and later as a Gunner, (July '44).

on Liberators, at Boundary Bay,
British Columbia.

Oct. '44. Abbotsdord, B.C.
Transferred to 99 Squadron, South East Asian Air Forces, Salbani, India, April 1945,
then over to 356 Squadron in July 1945.
He also operated the camp cinema, (RAF Kinematograph Unit).

He & family emigrated from the UK to Napier, New Zealand, in 1972.
NB: Bob Tier is partly responsible for the creation of this website...
he read about the aviation group's request for a Webmaster in the local paper...and subsequently told his eldest son,
who created this website. Goff also maintained it for the first 7 years.
